Description

*CHAPTER ONE*

In the town of Zaria, within the Kaduna local government area, lies the Wada Hill neighborhood. Mr. Iro is renowned for his fish-selling business, a legacy passed down to him by his late father. He has dedicated his life to the trade, gradually expanding it to a successful enterprise. Blessed with four daughters from his wife Harira, Mr. Iro’s humble and God-fearing nature has been a source of strength for his family.

However, a significant challenge has arisen in the form of Harira’s materialistic inclinations. Obsessed with wealth, she struggles to distinguish between right and wrong. Growing up in the Fulani area of Zaria, she initially sold flowers and milk in the Wada hill market. Mr. Iro fell in love with her and wasted no time in expressing his feelings, eventually leading to their marriage.

Harira’s behavior has troubled Mr. Iro’s mother, who remains patient despite Harira’s constant insults and disrespectful attitude. Harira’s desires for wealth and admiration from others have fueled ongoing conflicts within the household. Despite the challenges, Harira gives birth to four daughters—Nana Firdausi, later renamed Umm Kulsum, followed by Zahra, and finally, A’isha Humaira, affectionately known as Arab.

Harira’s relentless pursuit of financial success remains a driving force, pushing her to explore various business opportunities to secure her children’s future.
